ParticipantThank you. I was looking for someone central coastal region. But I’m so apprehensive about going to dentists, I’ll go just about anywhere as long as they’re good. I hate going to dentists and the ones I’ve been to the past few years I did not have a good experience with.

ParticipantYou’re welcome. It sucks to have a hurting tooth, many of mine hurt right now because of a snowboarding incident in Utah during Sundance… long story short my face met a rail and the outcome was not pretty (damage to 4 top front teeth). They’re all better now (thanks to Kujawski) but still sensitive and will take time to heal.
Anyhow, let us know how it goes!

Don’t want to say which one, only because my one experience might not be a good indicator of actual long term serivce. But I’ve been going to Steve and Bridget for about 10 years, have recommended many friends, and we all think they are great.
Best of luck to you.

ParticipantFunny, I also tried one of the other dentists mentioned and didn’t want to say anything. I think I must have gotten an assistant/trainee or something instead of the real dentist.
In Utah I went to a dentist who had TV’s in the ceiling so while you’re leaning back in the chair you get to watch movies and stuff. They also had a digital x-ray machine which instantly shows the x-ray on a monitor as it is taken, and doesn’t expose you to nearly as much x-ray so you don’t need those heavy, lead jackets… My SD dentist doesn’t have those things but I mentioned them to him.

ParticipantI ended up going to Taylor on Moraga. The only guy that was available to see me that day, referred by a friend. I get to have a root canal REDONE. But he couldn’t do it and had to refer me out to an endodontist. But I’ll get to have that crown removed and to replace it is $985.
I’m so looking forward to it. Dentists are a double whammy. Pain in the mouth and wallet. Not happy right now.

after the procedure, my gums were cut in all 4 corners. he had the xray reversed. make sure your dentist is smarter than a 5th grader.

ParticipantMy wife just announced her dentist wants to do $2100 worth of crowns. I haven’t been to the dentist in about 12 years, I can’t imagine what I have going on there. I kind of wish she’d get it done in TJ, some guy gave her a card of a guy he uses, but she doesn’t want to do it.
