ParticipantMy feelings are that though it is an excellent idea, just like wearing a helmet/seatbelt, it should not be mandatory. How else will Darwinian theory rid us of the ignorant. Just kidding, I’m sometimes ignorant but try to play it off as senility.

ParticipantICUs are filling up with complicated flu patients months before the regular flu season normally starts. Now the workers in these ICUs don’t want to get vaccinated for what they are treating? They could very well end up taking a ventilator from a patient for not taking a simple flu shot that they get access to before anyone else. I’d fire them too!
Everybody has stories to tell about how they know people who got the swine flu and it wasn’t bad at all. Then you get these types of stories…

I could send dozens more but I think you get the picture. The normal seasonal flu doesn’t kill kids like this. Normal seasonal flu also doesn’t turn your lungs into an H5N1 like mush but H1N1 does in worst case patients.
