The Carolinas suck. I heard they were all full up anyway and there is a waiting list. Mostly overrun with NY’ers and NJ’ers any how so it’s like “Jersey Shore South” or something.
Besides I have been told that there are still some bible thumpers and rednecks that haven’t been run off yet. Might be best to look elsewhere.
Try GA, FL, or maybe the Gulf coast states. Lots of people miss out on the beaches of AL and the TX coast.

South Carolina is still on the East Coast. Not sure if you want to go south. Climate in SC is still temperate compare to northeast.
My cousin lives along the Jersey shore and her kids are thriving and excelling in school. But those winters are still brutal.[/quote]
Yeah. We’ve been looking at Myrtle beach. You can get a beautiful house a block from the beach for about 250K. But I’ve heard that it’s more of an adult resort type place and not good for kids. Not sure if that’s true. Do you know? I’ve also heard that Virginia Beach is nice and a good place to raise kids, although you get a little less for your money there.
