    I do believe that once San Diego’s population grows Santee will become more attractive to many middle-income families due to more affordable housing. However, it will never become “La Jolla of East County” due to its location away from the ocean and its history. The new developments on Rattlesnake Mountain by Lennar are nice but they are way overpriced, especially “Eaglecrest”. There is no way a buyer can make any profit within the next 10 years on a resale.

    It is not that we are close to the ocean. It is supposed to be “The jewel”,”the nicer area”, “the most expensive property”.

    We do have the best schools in east county. Our school district is among the tops in the state.

    Santee is and has ALWAYS been a good area at a far price. We have ALWAYS been a popular place for middle income families.
