ParticipantI really like Coeur D Alene. Yes, the days are a lot shorter during the winter… I lived that when I was in Bellingham, WA. You just have to make sure to get outside during lunch because there’s a period in December/Jan when the sun would come up after I got to work, and set before I got off.
But those crisp clear days, the beautiful lake, etc.. A very pretty place to live.
The correlary to the short days in the winter are the LONG days in the summer. You need blackout curtains, for sure.
