ParticipantThey should be suspending the pay of the pin heads responsible for putting together a budget until it is passed, not cutting the wages of those who have no control over the process.
Schwarzenegger has turned out to be no different than Davis. He has abandoned all the conservative republican ideals that got him elected.
As much as we all think Bush has been a complete failure we can thank the DEMOCRATs for the state California is in.

ParticipantThey spend their money on the wrong thing. Working down near the boarder, you should see all the kids from mexico that come up for their daily education. Then, with gas prices as high as they are, the gov wants to cut state prop 42 funds from all the transit providers. This would essentially eliminate all weekend bus and trolley service here in San Diego. Not that any of us use it on the weekend, but those working at the local McDs and AM/PM do and who would take the place of those low income workers?
Stupid plan. Go back to movies. i like it more when you beat people up on the silver screen.

ParticipantVery few newscasts and print articles about the pay “cut” tell the whole story. Most have left out the fact that workers get the minimum wage paid to them now, with the rest of their normal pay deferred till later.
Predictable media bias that exaggerates the harm done in order to sway public opinion.August 1, 2008 at 8:44 AM #250509EconProf
