    just wondering if anyone else has been encountering this as of late. i’m watching about 6 properties right now and 4 of them are in 2+ month escrows. one is more than 3 months (at least). not a statistically significant number and I am not looking at great properties, so maybe it is nothing?

    I am watching several as well that are taking longer.

    I would speculate that it is due to tougher financing hurdles.

    My first impulse is that they are short sales. Call the listing agent and ask if they are short or not.

    I bought an REO property back in February and it took exactly 2 months to close with constant pushing. That is how fast the bank processed this kind of properties. It is not related to loan processing.
