Heck, the world gave a peace prize to the man responsible for starting a war and dropping the most bombs and killing the most people. It does not get weirder than that.
War is peace
Debt is wealthsane is crazy…haha
On a lighter note. Check out the movie Collapse. It happens to be about a man that has shares a lot of my views. Or to put anther way, he put a lot of things together that I have concluded independently.
Roger Ebert gave it four stars.

If this man is correct, then you may be reading the most important story in today’s paper.
I have no way of assuring you that the bleak version of the future outlined by Michael Ruppert in Chris Smith’s “Collapse” is accurate. I can only tell you I have a pretty good built-in B.S. detector, and its needle never bounced off zero while I watched this film. There is controversy over Ruppert, and he has many critics. But one simple fact at the center of his argument is obviously true, and it terrifies me.
“I don’t know when I’ve seen a thriller more frightening. I couldn’t tear my eyes from the screen. “Collapse” is even entertaining, in a macabre sense. I think you owe it to yourself to see it

It’s playing at the Ken tonight. I believe it is also available on pay per view. I’m going to watch it in DC tonight.
Thanks for the heads up Arraya, trying to scout out a friend right now to go see it.

December 12, 2009 at 6:53 PM #493501sobmazParticipantI couldn’t have said it better. Anyone who claims you are just a disgruntled Republican is small minded and follows their political party blindly.
I am so so disenchanted with the Democratic control that I can barely articulate it. I had such high hopes.
The Healthcare plan is just one example. Rather than adopt a one payer system like Germany or France that costs 8% of GDP we have embraced the current system that is costing our economy 15% of GDP and still has some major problems.
Obama recently came to the legal defence of John Woo, the Bush Justice Department fellow who justified legal torture.
There is little difference between Dems and Republicans any more, the only difference is Republicans have sold their soul to the Religous Fanatics as well as Big Money, the Dems just sold out to Big Money.

December 12, 2009 at 7:11 PM #493511ZeitgeistParticipantI would say that most of the politicians sold their souls to the devil to get elected and soon he will be around to collect.
