ParticipantWhen I was buying my hybrid highlander I went to Toyota of Poway. The hybrid version had literally just come out and I was waitlisted on 2 dealerships, but found out poway had a few in stock. I went there and their price was $5k ABOVE MSRP. I told them I wouldn’t do it, but the talked me into test driving and promised they’d get me a better price. Got done with the test drive and the sales doofus told me he had “talked his manager” into selling it to me for *only* $2k above MSRP. I walked.
I bought one below MSRP the next day at El Cajon Toyota.
To say I was not impressed with Poway Toyota is an understatement.

ParticipantBBB gives Poway Toyota a C-minus:

I’d suggest looking elsewhere even if they come down on price. Some car salespeople have a deeply seated psychological need to stick it to the customer, and if you make them come down on price they may try twice as hard to screw you somewhere else in the deal.
