“The Clean Energy Scam – “CORN ETHANOL IS ENVIRONMENTALLY DISASTROUS””
This is indicative of three things:
1: Special interest trumping common sense. This was known long ago.
2: We don’t have the foggiest idea of how to arrange our society in the face of a new energy reality
3: The invisible hand is flipping us the birdApril 21, 2008 at 9:37 AM #191385ArrayaParticipant“The Clean Energy Scam – “CORN ETHANOL IS ENVIRONMENTALLY DISASTROUS””

It grows like a weed, and has myriad uses other than making ethanol.
Obviously, many people equate Hemp with Marijuana – but they’re different species – Hemp has only a fraction of the THC content of Marijuana (THC being the ‘active’ ingredient in MJ).
Also, with the increasing outcry over the wanton use of plastics (now bobbing in the sea by a beach near you), hemp also produces everything from fibre to wax. Its a truly amazing plant, and sadly vilified in this age of “Drugs Are Bad, M’Kay”?
Hey, even George Washington grew hemp commerically…..

And those reasons would be? People would miss the gas stations? There isnt enough Steel to make cars anymore? Batteries dont work? Solar energy cant drive cars?
