Anyone think well see 4.25% 30 years?
Side note…Doesn’t one’s able to get a loan assumes one fundamental thing….You and/or your family have employment…. I don’t hope for high unemployment or the likes. But it seems like employment (which wasn’t perceived to be an issue earlier) IS becoming an issue. And last time I checked bailouts and new mortgages doesn’t address the unemployment issues.
Thoughts?

Effectively I think there is that case but it is indirect. Again, I am VERY novice in this area but the primary dealers are the ones who buy treasuries right? Now where do the primary dealers get the money to buy the treasuries… heheheheh… I think we all know the answer to that question. However as much as there has been a reduction in foreign entities purchasing them, the spigot is far from shut off.
Anyways so… yes effectively the FED is buying the treasuries in an indirect manner. Again though I am so far removed from having an understanding of this stuff that my posts are barely qualified as valid speculation and I am thankfully corrected by those who have more knowledge so I can learn more about this stuff.
As you implied… hey 700B… 2T… numbers don’t seem to matter anymore…
