Disclaimer: I’m not voting for McCain and he represents everything that is turning me off about the current GOP.
Having said that, are you suggesting that we (conservatives) or we (voters in general) should hold McCain to a higher standard than we hold someone like, oh I don’t know, Bill Clinton?
He had quite the moral compass, didn’t he? Will you judge McCain differently than you’ve judged Bill?

June 15, 2008 at 9:22 PM #222885TheBreezeParticipantBill needed the occasional BJ from a third-party every now and then, but he was a damn fine president. America has never been stronger than it was under Clinton. No way would Clinton have fallen asleep on the job and allowed 4,000 Americans to be killed in a terrorist attack.
McCain on the other hand is a moral trainwreck. He was a proud member of the Keating Five and his entire election team is made up of lobbyists. I’m not so sure that McCain wouldn’t be even worse than Bush — if such a thing were even possible.
