rents!
Arraya: This is simply false. I can tell you emphatically that rents are going down right now.
There are probably some areas and some specific properties that have rents going down, but in general, San Diego isn’t experiencing a lowering of rent.
“The average rent in San Diego County was $1,378, a 0.6 percent increase from the fourth quarter of 2007 and a 3.7 increase over last year’s first quarter, according to the survey of complexes of 100 units or more.”
I myself have been seeing rents rise.

April 22, 2008 at 11:48 AM #192409jpinpbParticipantDepending on where you look, I’ve seen both. I’ve seen rents go up, but I’ve also seen places not rent for a while and then the rent price got reduced a couple of times. I can remember one in particular in LJ Colony that was reduced after 2 months of no takers.

You are as closed minded as all but one former regular on this site who shall not be named. I look at both sides of the issue and analyze data on the street level. All you want to do is say how awful you think things will be but you never offer up an hard data. The world is a different place than it was a decade ago and no one knows how things will play out. I try to figure it out while you seem certain you have the answer.I’m the meantime, I try to have fun with a few putzs like you playing up my online persona which is in fact very different from who I am in person. I’m not here to get business and I dont feel my business is threatened at all by this market. It is getting better everyday because I know my market, I put my clients first and I care about their future financial well being. I have never put a client in a bad position and never will. You would find me eating at a soup kitchen before that.
