loan mods – any stories?

I have been trying to get my arms around how wide the loan modification net is spreading in San Diego. It’s a tough question that not too many people seem to be tracking.

I’m going to keep trying to find some good numbers on how many people in San Diego County have received loan modifications, but in the meantime I need your help.

Have you, or someone you know, received a loan modification — anything from a reduction of the total loan balance to an interest rate change? Or have you been rejected, or exasperated by the process? Regardless of the tale you have to tell, I would love to hear from you.
