Lennar has a sale event on October 12th to the 14th.

According to the link,
Offer available at the following communities in San Diego: Windward, Shona at The Bay, NorthStar at Sky Ranch, The Briars at Eureka Springs, The Steppes at Eureka Springs.

Out of all those communities, I have only looked at the Shona at the Bay in Point Loma. About a month a go, I visited their sale office and they only had 3-bedroom and 4-bedroom floor plans available. At that time, the 3-bedroom is going for low 500k and 4-bedroom is going for mid 500k. About a week ago, I called their sale office again. This time, the 3-bedroom is going for high 400k and 4-bedroom is going for low 500k. That’s pretty stiff drop in about a month!! I have used SDLOOKUP MLS service and checked some of the sale price of those units. I think people are paying more than $500K for a 2-bedroom floorplan just last year.

Anyway, I just want to share this information with you guys and any comment will be appreciated.

Whatever happened to Windward in Oceanside.
I drive up to Orange County sometimes and I saw the project being built with plenty of units left unsold.

The project is now off of the Lennar website.

I can’t believe it’s sold out. Will they go to auction?

I went to Shona about two months ago since it is very close to my work (for the record i was not planning on buying–im not that stupid, but i was hoping one would come on the market as a rental) and the sales guy looked at me and my friends from work and told us they where “Completely sold out”. Im not sure if you could tell from our faces our demeanor that we were bubble sitters. . .it must have been the bubble sitter stench we were eminating from our pores. One of the guys I went with lives in santee and was looking to buy a condo at sky ranch about a year ago and when he inquired at the sales office he was told they were sold out! (with pre sales–apparently they had not been finished yet but had apperantly “pre-sold out”. Needless to say he is going to be glad he didnt persue it any further.

If it wasnt the bubble sitter stench it may have been a sale ploy by Lennar to weed out the weak, non koolaid drinking public and it may have worked during the peak but it sure dosent look like it is bearing any fruits lately.
