I appear to be “frustrated” and “uncomfortable.” Please explain to me how my analytical comment about a possible link between this thread and reduced posting projected these emotions.
October 29, 2006 at 7:58 PM #38741powaysellerParticipantPD, I’m not really sure how you drew a connection between reduced postings and this thread. I also don’t think that comment has anything to do with zk’s response.

Well, to be honest with you, it appeared to me that your comment that “I do not think discussions like this are good for Piggingtons” indicated that you would prefer to no longer have this discussion. I took that, along with your changing your comments from a semi-reasoned debate about Iraq to comments like “the fall of our society is coming” as a sign of frustration. I took it as a sign that you’d run out of logical counterpoints to our arguments and were therefore frustrated. I apologize for assuming that it was frustration. I was actually trying to be nice and give you some credit for standing up for what you think is right despite being outnumbered.
October 29, 2006 at 8:50 PM #387484plexownerParticipantSeems to me that posting in the forums dropped off after the U-T published the “17% drop” article.
It provided confirmation for what the bears on the site have been saying and a big slap in the face for all of the polyannas.
Not much that either the bears or the pollyannas can say at this point – only time will tell whether we revert to 2001 prices or all the way back to 1998 prices.
October 30, 2006 at 5:38 AM #38753lostkittyParticipantWe have become a nation of lazy quitters and complainers who expect instant gratification and stunning success. Without it, they demand retreat.
Has anyone else noticed that postings on other forums have dropped a lot since this thread was opened? I do not think discussions like this are good for Piggingtons.
PD – Glad to hear that it was my misunderstanding that you were not comfortable with the way this IRAQ conversation was affecting the community of Pigginton as a whole. Because to me, it sounded like you were talking out of both sides of your mouth…. Calling anyone who questions this mess "lazy quitters and complainers", but then wanting to quit the conversation about it yourself when it got too heated, and using the excuse that conversations like this aren't "good for Pigginton's". I misconstrued your comments.
October 30, 2006 at 6:45 AM #38754PDParticipantI was not quitting the conversation. I was merely making an observation. This is a real estate forum and I think it very possible that threads like this might drive people away.
October 30, 2006 at 9:16 AM #38761PerryChaseParticipantReal Estate realists are certainly not pollyannas. They can handle some tough subjects that affect us all (as housing does).
