“I didn’t see this posted here….wonder why?”
Because it’s no surprise. So the number one answer of 2964 people when asked what state they would want to live in was CA…so what?
If you think San Diego is the only place people want to live in the whole country Duck/CBmtnBkr then why don’t you two team up, by all the foreclosed houses on the market and flip em?
I’m sure you’ll make a killing.

Hey. Who knew? It looks like some of those people from hurricane states have already blown into town;)
September 14, 2007 at 10:54 AM #84548CarlsbadMtnBikerParticipantha ha .. that is funny bubbleman. u made me laugh,
Already with ya on that thought there coop .. no flip though. No partner needed either. Partnerships suck ! Need a 1-2 more rentals if the numbers line up right anytime soon. Need rents to keep climbing and values to go down a little more.
September 14, 2007 at 11:18 AM #84551johnnyreParticipantHey if I had purchased a home in Carlsbad within the last 2 years i would be tearing up the club scene too. (drinking away my sorrows) Has anyone noticed that the run-up in SD RE prices started to heat up after Ryan Leaf was kicked out of SD? That is as absurd as “Everyone wants to live here”!
CBADmtnbkr put your overpriced condo on the market for what u think its worth and see what happens. Please get in touch when you have to go “Short Sale”
As a matter of fact, people are actually leaving SD. They have been for the last 2 years or so…

That was the question. And of course, the big kicker that invalidates the question is except the state you live in now. Remove that clause and I’d guess 90% are going to say, where they are now.
So basically the question is “if you won the $350 million dollar powerball, where do you think you would move?”
A question for people to answer with no ties to reality.

September 14, 2007 at 12:16 PM #84565CarlsbadMtnBikerParticipanthow many edits did it take you to write that there johnnyman? I need 4-5 refreshes on the ol’ browser just to get what you are trying to say. Do you stutter too? I refuse to call you a Stupid Idiot Renter but you are not helping.
Anyway, no sharing the plays here. As I mentioned before, I do not like partnerships (at least not in finance related matters.)
gotta leave this thread and my office for the day … see you on the next one johnnyman !
September 14, 2007 at 12:48 PM #84568kicksavedaveParticipantI want to live in San Diego.
I want to drive a Lamborgini.
I want to ride a space ship to the Moon.
I also want to have a threesome with Elle McPherson and Jennifer Anniston.
I can’t afford to do any of these things. Mick Jagger said it best “you can’t always get what you want”.
September 14, 2007 at 12:58 PM #84573lendingbubblecontinuesParticipantmany of the “buyers” of homes in San Diego these last few years apparently couldn’t afford to either;)
