ABSOLUTELY not! Its a short sale and there are expenses (short sale negotiator) that I typically pay for out of my half of the commission that I made the other agent share. LOts of agents pass these costs onto buyer and/or buyers agents but I usually dont. The money would have come out of my pocket and I made it come out of hers. Neither buyer nor seller nor short sale lender were impacted. Just that dumb a** up in Placentia.

But all good point on risk and about how the listing agent probably wont even waste thier time sending your offer to the seller. The commission is the cost of doing the transaction and not really the buyer that threw it away.

September 2, 2010 at 8:25 AM #599179njtosdParticipantsdrealtor -I guess I’m not getting your point about the experienced/inexperienced agent and the risk to the buyer. Sounds like that difference only harmed the agent, not the client, in your example.
