I am regularly very direct with clients about relying on clearly observable evidence.

There is a big difference between being “very direct” and being offensive. You’re being the latter.
If you want someone to give you their personal address (and they are under no obligation to do so in any way), perhaps you should go first.
Trying to offend and intimidate someone into giving in doesn’t really make your case.
