March 25, 2009 at 10:50 PM #373582Allan from FallbrookParticipantDan: My understanding is the House of Lords retains veto power (although that veto may be overridden by the House of Commons) and also has the “peerage power”, composed as it is of lords, barons and archbishops.
I thought the governor of Baja was Sammy Hagar. No?
Yeah, I can’t disagree with you about Pelosi’s lexicon. I just don’t like her. Or Boxer. Or Feinstein. Or Streisand. In Streisand’s case, I think it’s due to that song “People”. And “The Way We Were”. That song ruined my childhood. Fortunately, ELO saved it.
I’m rambling. I should head off to bed. Or take my Thorazine.

March 25, 2009 at 11:06 PM #373598urbanrealtorParticipantSince the country has no written constitution, its not clear (at least to me) that the HOL has more power than prince Harry.
Dude I cannot believe you reference Streisand, ELO, and Sammy Hagar together.
Now that gets me aroused.
Hopefully that sounds as creepy to you as it does to me.
