compete with the bilingual applicants who are more desirable
So you know the answer to your problem. You stand little chance of getting into SoCal school system without some Spanish. You may have to move to a more traditional school district.

It can be that inexpensive if you want it to. Case in point, I know a family who live on one income (well under 6-digits) who have 4 kids and a house almost paid for in Mira Mesa. They all are turning out to be smart, happy, and obedience. So, yes, it can be that inexpensive if you want it to. It can cost $10k/month/kid or $200/month/kid. It’s really up to you.December 1, 2007 at 12:10 AM #106181anParticipantWhoever wrote this must not have kids. I wish it were that inexpensive to raise a child. I received my Masters and school psychology credential in May, therefore I am a new grad with little experience. From the opinions I've gathered, this seems to be a problem because of the possibility of a large number of experienced applicants applying for the same positions. I don't know, but I really want a position. I also have to compete with the bilingual applicants who are more desirable because of Southern Cali's large population of Hispanic students.
I'm sorry to hear that. Not that it's any of my business, but are you working with an employment agency at all, or all you just cold calling/sending in resumes, etc.
