ParticipantHaving been a renter there for many years, I can say it is a fun place to visit for sure. Spending a million dollars for a row home to live there, well, I don’t do drugs, so unless unknowingly someone injects me w/some pretty strong narcotics, I’m not crazy enough to do it.
It has potential to be a great place. Just like many downtrodden neighborhoods they try to revitalize. The only difference between City Heights and P.B. is the lure of the beach. Is it worth a million dollar price tag? When you can go up the coast for the same price?
The element in P.B. is dangerous, especially at night. I have seen it progressively get worse over the past 20 years. Is there a chance for improvement any time soon? Do you think the City has funds to clean it up?
Talk to some cops that work the beat. They’ll give you the straight scoop.
