Hippy Bulbs for 25c each!

Vons is selling those compact fluorescent “Hippy bulbs” for 99c for a four pack. They are the 23Watt replacements for 100Watt bulbs. The missus and I picked up a few packs and changed out some bulbs last night. I don’t know if it’s just me, but the air outside seems fresher today.

Um yeah, let me know how those work out. We’ve had to kiss a few frogs to get to the good fluorescent bulbs (we have them all over the house, started replacing them years ago). Something tells me 25 cent bulbs aren’t going to cut it long term. But let me know if I’m wrong!

BTW: you can find the same deal at 99 Ranch (the chinese supermarket in Clairemont) all the time.

Thank you. Yes, I know what UV is. I just wasn't sure if florescents emitted UV. I didn't do so well in third semester of physics, particularly related to light and optics :).

If you can get away with using those they are great. But if they are located somewhere where you can see the bulp hanging down and looks matter, you have to use the other ones and they can really vary in quality.
