Rich I saw your response on one of the other posts explaining how the format of this forum works. I thought it may be useful to have a formal request posting to see what people come up with. I like the current format but I do believe it could be improved on a little bit…
I am actually in favor of a few additional forum topics in addition to the active forum topics section. Occasionally I find a posting where I want to give my advice on to someone requesting info on either listing a home to sell or buying a home. A few weeks back I posted some of the basics that sellers should think about when interviewing listing agents. However to someone just joining the forum, that would not be found easily. So perhaps one of the additional forum topics could be “Questions to ask when interviewing a Realtor” or something like that.
Also I think alot of people have thoughtful insights about investments over the next few years. I think another forum topic specific to that would be cool. Such a wide range of stuff there…
Of course some of us own businesses as well so maybe an advertising or classified board like SDCIA has would be cool…
For one, it will help people searching for specific information related to each topic.
And two, it will cut out the amount of repitition or duplication of ideas within different threads. (This is the main reason PS is burning out on us – as she has to keep repeating what she wrote a month ago, a week ago, a day ago, an hour ago, etc.)
I would advise against putting in an advertising/classified forum. If it becomes popular, then it may quickly bleed into the regular forums and then we’ll never get rid of it!
