Submitting one at a time is fine. Submitting all at once is not.
Yes you are an extremist.
I have nothing against Bob. He’s probably a nice man and very bright. What I object to is pimping someone as the source to go to on a board like this. When you do so, I fell obliged to expose you as a fraud.
June 14, 2006 at 6:36 PM #26920docteurParticipantSDR – I may seem to do what you do, but based on what you have told us, I don’t believe I do.
I observe, but I rarely give advice based on my observations nor do I predict markets. Again, I believe prediction in dynamic markets such as real estate or stocks is pure folly.
If someone asks me for advice, I offer up what data I have and do my best to keep my opinion out of the discussion so that they can draw their own conclusions, which serves two purposes: One, I get to see what they think and Two, I don’t have the potential to harm them by giving them advice that may prove to be totally wrong. In my view, if I give you bad advice and you act on it and you get hurt, I am responsible for putting you in a damaged state (and you are responsible for damaging yourself).
I also share with others what I am doing (at this point in time, nothing, just observing) and allow them to query me on my action (or lack thereof), but I never recommend that they do what I am doing (or not doing), regardless of the outcomes I produce.
I guess I am forever living life in the question, instead of the answer, thereby constantly in a dance to reduce my risk of an unintended outcome, regardless of what I am doing. So, back to my original inquiry:
I am specifically looking for where you have concluded the market will be in six months, that being mid-December of 2006, and what you plan on doing in anticipation of that point in time, at this point in time. That’s all.
I’m not asking for what you may advise me to do or how you do it, I simply want to know what you are doing / going to do, based on your analysis and subsequent prediction, which I am looking very much forward to reading. Thanks again…
June 14, 2006 at 6:46 PM #26922PDParticipantdocteur, you always make me smile. As a quick side note (sorry it is off topic), did you pick the parents to whom you were born? If yes, did you choose to be a boy? Do you believe in reincarnation?
June 14, 2006 at 8:46 PM #26931docteurParticipantHi PD.
You make me smile by the simple act of sharing that (another snippet of proof that by the results produced, my intentions are clear).
Now, on to your three questions:
Yes I am certain I chose my parents and yes, I am certain I chose to be a boy (obviously because that’s what happened), both results of my intentions. Results always produce absolute certainty — “I did that” or “I made this.”
Although, please be clear that by taking complete and total responsibility for that outcome, I am in no way downplaying my parents responsibility for what was produced as the end result. That my dear, would be “bad karma.” heh heh heh
It’s interesting to note that you asked me if I chose the first two (parents and gender) but then asked if I believed in the third (reincarnation).
I will answer it this way: Do I intend to cause my Self to be “reincarnated”? Yes. Absolutely. Yet only the results will reveal if I was successful in my intended outcome, which at this point in time (the now), it is impossible to assess.
However, in order to let everyone know precisely what my intentions are after my “death” I will make sure that the following declaration is inscribed on my headstone:
“To be continued…”
June 14, 2006 at 9:13 PM #26933PDParticipantHaving chosen to be born, it does not necessarily follow that you had been born before or would be born again. I thought it likely that you believed in reincarnation but did not want to make an assumption.
Do you believe that your soul has a gender? Are you always born a male or have you been female before? Are you aware of your past lives? How old do you believe your soul to be? How did your existence begin?
June 14, 2006 at 9:36 PM #26942sdrealtorParticipantSorry but it will have to come in pieces…
There are alot of great new home neighborhoods being built in great areas that are the last of their kind (i.e. there just isnt the prime land available to do projects like this again). Most of these neighborhoods will be built out by the end of this year. These are great opportunities for people that can afford them. The publically traded builders are on their last hurrahs and are under intense earning pressure. The execs knows this and know its their last chance for a great payday before real trouble sets in next year and big bonuses are out of the question. I expect the builders to get very very agressive and to borrow tommorrows sales like the automakers did last year. If you have money and can close in 30 days or less, there should be deals to be had between 8/15 and 9/15. I expect 15 to 25% below what others paid 6 months ago and maybe more. The same or better deals will be out there between 11/15 and 12/15 but the pickings will be much slimmer.
I have two clients that are waiting to strike.
June 14, 2006 at 10:08 PM #26953equalizerParticipantWe finally get back to a real estate discussion.
Lets keep the extreme comments and the sensational arrogant tone off this board. [Both of you, 🙂 ]
SDR,
What are the great places? What about the new Del Sur, north of SantaLuz? what neighborhood, price range? I assume you are referring to higher end homes that have very low chance of foreclosure.June 14, 2006 at 11:15 PM #26957docteurParticipantPD – I believe God has no gender, so it follows that our Soul/Self/Spirit doesn’t either.
I am born as I chose to be born, male or female (which really is insignificant to me because the body is simply a container for the spirit).
In our boundless wisdom, we as ageless Gods, chose eons ago to create gender, so we could continue to perpetuate the illusion we call life. Why? Because it’s fun to create problems, so we can solve them, giving us something to do. “The best way to get rid of your problems is get bigger ones.”
Quite frankly, bliss is boring. Nirvana is nowhere (now here). If we truly lived in the moment, eveything would disappear and we would be left with nothing. How boring!
So, the universe was created out of nothing. Out of boredom. “In the beginning there was nothing and God said, let there be light.”
Problem number one: We now have light but nothing to illuminate. OK, we need stuff to light up. And before you know it, stuff was being created right and left, so much stuff that we will never be able to remember how we made it all. We will need forever to figure it all out. How brilliant is that?
God(s) wanted to play, so here we are, upping the ante to life on a daily basis, to give it more meaning. Ever notice the worse it gets, the better it gets, the more we are challenged. And the closer we become to ending it all (but never do), the better off we seem to be? I believe we never will end it all because we would have to go back to being bored again. Yikes!
That’s the cosmic joke. It’s just a giant game and the stakes are the illusion of death (nothingness/boredom). So, of course we pretend to take it all seriously.
(If you haven’t already, you should read “Illusions” by Richard Bach. He nails It).
Am I aware of my past lives? I believe my life is one, long moment that is illuminated forever in the now and what we call life, death, reincarnation are simply aspects of one continuous never ending transformation (or flow of ever expanding spirit), from one form into another. Today a man, tomorrow a toad (or maybe both simultaneously).
Einstein said “You cannot create nor destroy energy.” I substitute spirit for energy in this case because I know that’s what the old guy meant.
So that means we can only transform it (energy/spirit). Life is relative and we are all related (came from the same Source).
The Beatles said it best in the song entitled I am the Walrus, from the album Magical Mystery Tour:
“I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together…”
goo goo g’joob.

June 15, 2006 at 5:20 AM #26964lostkittyParticipantDocteur-
I was given that book ‘Illusions’ by a friend when living in Brazil in high school… (it is call ‘Illusaoes’ or something like that in Portuguese). Beautiful thoughts. thanks for reminding me of it – I think I will dig it out and re-read.
I am adding your suggested line to my posts – maybe it will help, because you are certainly right that all the back and forth is not good for the site or any of the individuals involved. I just didnt appreciate being told to “get a life” or being called any of the other myriad names he’s called me – and let him get under my skin.
Your thoughts on the subject are appreciated.
“Thanks for sharing that and participating in this forum. I invite you to consider my point of view…”
June 15, 2006 at 7:18 AM #26972PDParticipantDocteur, thank you for your response. I am still wondering if you have recollections of distant past events which you witnessed? For instance, do you remember the Black Death spreading through Europe or starving during a siege?
June 15, 2006 at 8:01 AM #26975powaysellerParticipantdocteur, I love your lilting prose. It warms my heart. It is also a shield. By not rocking the boat, giving advice, or providing a controversial viewpoint, nobody can ever get mad at you. It’s safe. We need people like you on this forum, and I love your style. However, I think you’ve got to look at what’s happening in the bigger picture.
My style is to rock the boat. A minister once said that being a good person does NOT mean you don’t rock the boat. I find that too many people are afraid of the anger that is directed at them when they speak up. I have the courage to face that anger.
Those of you who are irritated at the tiff between me and those who love to criticize me because of my views (NOT because of anything I have DONE to them), perhaps you ought to look into why I am attacked.
Has this forum become a place where real estate bear views are not welcome? Let the permabulls cry out “Neutral corners” or “your comments incited his response” responsibility stuff. While I respect all your comments, please think about why this forum exists: to present alternate real estate opinions.
My suggestion, if we are to have open and interesting debates, is that anyone who disagrees with any views, leave out the personal stuff. I also ask that anyone who violates this is promptly taken to task by the members of this forum, and reminded to stay on topic. We need more real-man comments, such as made by Chris J.
June 15, 2006 at 8:41 AM #26982docteurParticipantPD –
Nope. No recollections. I might be a first timer here…
