This is Dr.Henry Niman, the creator of the google swine flu map. He has a PhD from Southern Cal, and has studied viruses for 25 yrs, working on the influenza vaccines and the SARS outbreak.

It is 26 minutes, it is worth it. My notes…
We are not seeing as many deaths, because we are EARLY in the diagnosis.
We are not at the level Mexico is at. The good doctor makes many good points
– This is looking identical to 1918, which caused 20-50 million deaths. One third to half of the world population got swine flu over 2 years. Keep that in mind.
– In 1918 the young and old did not succumb. The very healthy adults died- because their strong immune systems fought too hard. The fatalities are from pneumonia.
– We will see stage six within 2 weeks, if you went by the WHO comments from a year ago you would know that we are stage 6 NOW..sustained human to human transmission.
– There is no vaccine, we are collecting samples to grow in order to make vaccine.
– It could go away for summer and come back in the Fall, but likely would be completely resistant to tamiflu if it comes back.
**The interviewer asked him why CDC and the USG are downplaying it**

April 28, 2009 at 8:54 PM #389180temeculaguyParticipantThis type of flu turns your immune system against you, therefore, those with strong immune systems are usually the ones who die, unlike other illnesses.
So here’s my advice, weaken your immune system immediately. Drink, Smoke, eat bad foods and deprive yourself of sleep. Unsafe sex acts with questionable partners is also highly encouraged, maybe I should post my e-mail address in an effort to save lives.
