Deadly New Mexican Flu Virus Sparks Global Pandemic Fear

Yup. 149 dead in the flu outbreak would cause a lot of panic there. Thankfully I’m not seeing any earthquake related deaths. Extra-thankfully there have been no flu-related deaths in the US even though at least 28 people in NYC are infected as well as people in several other states.

I really wonder why this huge news coverage and need to instill an almost panic like senario, when no deaths other than in Mexico. not even any real hospitalizations. TB is still prevelant in Mexico and I believe Mexico City is the smoggiest or one of the smoggiest cities in the world. Bad lungs and flu-not a good mix. Other than that, I feel there is a huge over reaction by everyone.
