I am guessing that if this turns into something, or not, for now, it will keep people from organizing in large groups, because they will be afraid of disease. Hmmm…no tea parties for example. This is of particular benefit to our government.

partypup – you aren’t paying attention to my posts in general – I am one of the gloomiest posters on this boardI try not to say things like, “we’re all fucking doomed…”
Then we have something in common, 4Plex. I think that’s pretty clear from my earlier post in this chain:
“I don’t believe in an apocalypse, and I don’t believe the people in this country are all doomed to die and fail. I think our priorities are about to be re-adjusted on a massive scale, and some may see that as apocalyptic. I just see it as “change you can believe in”.
Does that really sound like I think we’re all doomed? Trust me, if I thought we were due for an apocalypse the last thing I would be doing is spending my valuable, remaining pre-apocalyptic years pushing paper as a lawyer!
because it tends to turn people off and they stop thinking
That’s unfortunate, but if people choose to stop thinking that’s their problem – it’s not my concern.

I completely agree, Flu (and pls don’t change your name!). The end of the world is not coming anytime soon, and if it were I wouldn’t be spending so much time posting on a blog. Wouldn’t be the most valuable use of time.
But I did like what this John Titor/mystery poster had to say about selflessness, charity and the ability to work together. I don’t disregard the message simply because the source is dubious.
