Typical response from you I have come to expect trying to downplay hard facts. You can find the reports on the schools I looked at easily online. Try http://www.greatschools.netSome of the schools down there are very good but not top rated in the county, most are good and some are very challenged. It is what is.

Great Schools is a good place to schools, but those are minor league schools. If you really want your kids to go to the big leagues, you seriously have to look at places like Bishops and Francis Parker, those are the region’s feeder schools to elite colleges.
The workplace is becoming global, so they’re not competing with kids from Bonita or Torrey Pines, they’re going to be competing with kids from all over.

Not exactly new and big. I want something relatively new (less than 15 years), 2000-2300 sf (not any bigger than that) and around 500K, preferably under, definitely not 600K and definitely not high MR (less than 300/mo) or high HOAs, and good school district ( not necessarily PUSD or del Mar). So a relatively average SFR. And I compromised on commute, to 45′ instead of 20′ what we both have now (work in La Jolla, rent in UTC).I don’t think I am asking for too much, am I? I just don’t know much about the rest of San Diego except UTC, Carmel Valley, Penasquitos, RB. There must be areas that satisfy those things, esp. school district. It can’t be all that bad.[/quote]
Have you considered those properties around twin peaks road (off Ted Williams parkway). The school is in PUSD too. I think the price has come a bit…
Take a look at these…
http://www.sdlookup.com/MLS-110024422-13217_Treecrest_St_Poway_CA_92064
http://www.sdlookup.com/MLS-110025369-13227_Triumph_Dr_Poway_CA_92064[edit] I just saw you wanted something not older than 15 years old. These will not do, but they still look good, I think.
