The SD convention Center said that Chula Vista will take some of their business.
I wonder how that will affect the RE downtown market. I’m planning to get a downtown condo sometime in the future for retirement. I wonder if Chula Vista might be a good alternative. I have a 10 year + horizon.
Or maybe, I’ll move up to Marina Del Rey. It’s close to LAX so it’s excellent for travel.
I have family in Chula Vista, and they tell me the commute on the freeway has gotten so bad. It used to take him 10 minutes to get to work, and now sometimes it’s 45 minutes. With the new development planned, it will just get worse. Also, they don’t like living so close to the border anymore, although they are satisfied with the schools.
