Yea, there’s nothing more powerful this year than voting for someone other than the two major parties.
Sure, one of the two will likely win (way over 90% chance), I really doubt any third party candidate will claim any State. But a strong showing may finally break the mindset of there’s only two parties.
Johnson is on the ballot in every State, unlikely to be on the debate stage. Stein is on many. The media polls and project winners are typically done presenting only two options.
In California, were way down in numbers with only 5 parties on the ballot.
Exactly.September 14, 2016 at 11:49 AM #801263fluParticipantLike I said. Stop blaming immigrants and foreigners wrto these job loss problems.
Blame the bonehead American CEO and bonehead American management team that makes these decisions at American companies. I guess when you are making cheap econ boxes , you can’t do it profitably with American unionized labor, according management.
Regulate immigration to restrict foreign workers? Pfffff…. companies will move the entire operation elsewhere..
Walls? Lol. Looks like those jobs are just climbing over walls.
… like Ford…..Ford shifting all US small car production to Mexico.
Ford Motor announced a $1.6 billion investment in a plant in Mexico Tuesday. USA TODAY
CEO Mark Fields told investors the move is part of plans to make production simpler and less expensive.
Ford is shifting all North American small-car production from the U.S. to Mexico, CEO Mark Fields told investors today in Dearborn.
“Over the next two to three years, we will have migrated all of our small-car production to Mexico and out of the United States,” Fields said.
At least you have some companies from china setting up factories in Detroit making glass and windows.
At least my BMW was assembled in South Carolina.
Looks like American companies and ceos sold most of you middle class labor out. You guys are pointing the finger at the wrong thing.
And funny that some of complainers also drives a Lexus…. with virtually no US parts content and made with no US labor. Definitely not putting your money where your mouth is.
September 14, 2016 at 5:21 PM #801265flyerParticipantRegarding the jobs topic above. Since most of us Piggs, and many of us in CA in general are somewhere in the top 5% wrt net worth, we don’t feel the pain inflicted by the job losses many have and will continue to experience in certain fields.
Some might argue that policy precipitated the exodus in order to increase profits, but, whatever the cause(s) it’s clear that many will have to adapt in order to survive–and that could end up being true in many fields–with robots predicted to take over more jobs than ever–including white collar–going forward.
September 14, 2016 at 7:42 PM #801271FlyerInHiGuestThe Trump deplorables are playing victims.
They think they are entitled to a certain way is live.Bearish, the low eduction folks may have built things. But that’s past tense. they need to keep working in order to relevant (of course individuals can retire, but in the aggregate, continued productivity is required). Plus if they have it so good as you describe then, que es el problema?

Unfortunately I went from 50% to 25% stock today, just in case things get crazy. I’ll re-enter after November if the conditions warrant it. I just hope the markets got this result right.
MY favorite line was when Trump said “Paying No Income Taxes ‘Makes Me Smart’”
Lol…So much for being for the working class…

September 26, 2016 at 11:00 PM #801550FlyerInHiGuestI loved the part where Trump defended Russia and suggested that a 400 pound guy may have hacked. I’m thinking a white, antisocial, obese nerd.
Clinton used the wrong word. On the precipice is something bad. On the cusp of a dynamic economy Is good.
Clinton clearly won.

Uh, no way…. Not even close. Howard Stern is actually very well educated and informed. He’s not an idiot at all.

What debate were you watching?
I don’t even think the CNN crew would say Trump got his ass kicked.

Trump also apparently doesn’t really support the military and veterans, because taxes do pay for them, more so than they pay for poor people.

Wow. Whenever I have heard Stern talk (which granted isn’t often because I change the channel again shortly thereafter) the first thing I think is “what an idiot”.
