Buying advice in North County

I think that a 3 year horizon is not bad LA. If we can get the bond market to flush out then we should see some real depreciation. We just need a tightening of credit and a more stringent policy regarding debt accumulation on the consumer and federal level!

We also live in your area, and I have to concur with everything sdr said about your neighborhood.

We have kids, and feel this is one of the best neighborhoods in which to raise them. Even though we rent (six years), we are established in the neighborhood, and have many friends here — for us and our kids. 🙂

While we look at many different areas, we pretty much agree that when/if we buy, we will likely buy right here.

Oh, and cannot agree more with sdr about having the grandparents nearby. You have no idea how unbelievably important this is. I cannot stress this enough. The fact that your wife works nearby and essentially has no commute would make it a done deal, as far as I’d be concerned.
