Bubble terminology

As I read through the many real estate related articles, I notice some terminology that makes me, as a potential buyer, even more wary. Many times I hear about the sellers having trouble “unloading” their home. Or the various recommendations of how to “snare” a buyer.

This shows an industry wide conspiracy against the next generation of incoming homeowners.

Feel free to share the quotes you guys have seen.

Here is one example…

“There’s a lot more to selling your home than putting a sign in the front yard, and the more thoroughly you plan your marketing campaign, the sooner you are likely to snare a buyer. Here’s a checklist of important points to consider as you prepare your plan of attack:”

“Snare” a buyer!? “Plan of attack!?” Feels like they are declaring war on me.

Well, if you want to unload your investment, you have to market aggressively in order to snare a buyer. Greater fools get harder and harder to snare once a bubble pops. LOL.

I’m really feeling like the bushy tailed fox in Ye olde fox hunt.

Update on Cupcake-Cooking Cindy: She finally sold her house, but took something like $100K off the price.

So, it seems her ultimate “snare” tool was not her delectable cupcakes, but a price drop. Back to fundamentals to trap the elusive buyer!
