    We are no where near a bottom. For all of you would be buyers / knife-catchers, you need to etch this graph into your memory and recall it anytime you feel the “must buy now urge” for at least the next two years.

    There is no reason to buy a house right now. I don’t care what anyone tells you.

    But…but..but my realtor tell me its the time to buy, my lease is ending, summer is coming, love is in the air, my wife is nagging me, and I have my 3% down without reserve whatsoever. Put some senses to me JWM, slap me silly.

    But, I just read a post where a guy said that seeing his child play with a puppy in the backyard of a home that he owned vs rented was his motivation for buying now. Besides that, people that he works with have also decided to buy now. So those reasons certainly override any logic and common sense from hard data that he should NOT buy now. (In addition, a realtor probably told him that it was a good time to buy)
