Blocked from logging ing?

One of my friends is often blocked from loggin in. This happens almost every time he tries to log in, even if he makes several attempts. Has this happened to anyone else? How did you fix it?

For months, I have always had to login twice.
I go to the home page, login, then login again.

I am having a problem on this new server. It regularly delivers a blank page. I refresh 1 to three times before getting the full page. Anyone else see this?

I always have to log in multiple times. Sometimes I get an error saying I do not have permission to post or I get a blank page.

These events routinely ocurr on both the old and new server. I use firefox so maybe that is the culprit?

My solution is to act like a trained circus monkey and keep pounding that square peg into the round hole. Specifically, I just keep logging in and refreshing the page until I see the “log out” link.

I also having trouble logging in. The weird thing is that I can only reply to certain topics. I was trying to comment on other topics and it asks me to login again and then takes me to Page Not Found. This topic just says reply, so I was able to leave this comment.

I found a fix to this.
Often, after I log in, I am taken to the last page I saw, but the page shows I am not logged in.

When this happens there is something wrong with the cache or the sessions or the cookies and it is showing you the wrong page.

If this happens to you – just hit refresh and you should see your username appear, with all the “add comment” links in place.

Funny thing though. If someone is REALLY having trouble logging in, how are they supposed to respond to this post ?

It all works out OK – if you can login, you can post a note to others on how to do so successfully. If you can’t login – you can still read how.

Yeah I have had problems as well. Sometimes it takes me two times to log in. Sometimes I login and it says page not found…

oh – another trick. I have better luck going to the home page, LOGGING IN FROM THE HOME PAGE, then going to the link you want, then refreshing.

I often have trouble when logging in from the “login to post” link but rarely have trouble when logging in from the home page.
