Nanny state?
No, I don’t want a nanny state.
Health care is a human right and we need to find a way to provide that to all our citizens.
I’m all for cutting war spending or real estate industry subsidies, or taxing junk food. There are other ways of fixing our fiscal mess.
But, yeah, health care is a fundamental right.
I don’t think that it’s useful to throw about hyperbole such as communism, tyranny and Armageddon without even understanding the policy.
How about looking at the details of what the Health Care Bill actually does before opposing it based on irrational ideological fears? I thought that Piggs were more intelligent than that.
BTW, the only reason I started participating in the political threads here is to counteract the irrational hyperbole that was being thrown about — things such as “I hate communism and I don’t want anymore government.” Only children think that way.

Not in our Constitution. We already provide health care to all. Emergency rooms, local clinics, Medicare, Medicaid. The problem is forcing Americans to buy insurance is the core issue.
