I am thinking to buy a Toyota Rav4.
Any of you ever owned the car before?
Right now Toyota has $750 factory rebate.
I have got two offered prices from the dealer in SD, so far.
One is $21.245+fees
One is $20.950(dealer did not mention extra fees)
Do you guys think the $20.950 offer is a good deal?
new one is coming out, making the old one going to depreciate pretty quickly
Also go to L.A. to buy the car.

If I tell them I will pay cash, is it an advantage or disadvantage for me to negotiate?July 20, 2012 at 7:37 AM #748515CoronitaParticipant
Thanks, Flu.
If I tell them I will pay cash, is it an advantage or disadvantage for me to negotiate?
disadvantage. They want to put you in a loan so they can charge you more from finance charges.

Hey, if you wanted to get behind the wheel of a BMW, there is probably going to be a third option to owning or leasing in the near future….
Short term rental….aka “on-demand-service”
So, SoCal folks that just want to keep up their image at all costs… You no longer need to take out an arm/leg loan, take out a heloc that you won’t be able to pay back, or sign up for a bend-over long lease to keep up your appearances…
You’ll be able to rent your BMW by the hour/week/month just enough to impress that person you are trying to impress, for whatever reasons.
BMW…Bringing the American Dream to people…. one payment at a time π
(Side note: enthusiasts are going to miss the E90/92 3 series… F20 328 loaner I had, felt more like a luxury car than performance oriented..)

BMW Financial Services next month is kicking off BMW On Demand USA β a service the company already provides in European cities β that enables people to easily rent a BMW by the hour, day or week from dealerships. The first location, BMW of Manhattan, is considered a pilot, and will have about 100 328i sedans in the fleet. According to Ed Robinson, president of BMW Financial, the makeup of the fleet will change over time. But the all-328i lineup to start reflects the newest product from BMW and the one the company wants to push right now.
Other logical cities to follow will be Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and Miami. But the service could easily spread to smaller cities with smaller fleets.
Pricing for checking a 328i out like a library book will be announced in August. The website to go to is http://www.bmwondemandusa.com.
