disclaimer: I’m generally a nervous guy. I’ve always predicted disaster and always been wrong. I never bought a house, got a car loan. Just basically work ., give legal advice, save, very conservative and worried, even kept my 401k all cash for 10 years or so. I am, in short, unusually conservative and distrustful of the system for a middle aged dude. I am extremely anxious about the economy even though frankly it hasn’t affected me yet at all. However, i am truly fearful that something bad is coming our way, something not normal. I’ve felt this way for years, but only a dull, laughing sense. Now I’m afraid. I wonder if people who are actually losing wealth or are having trouble servicing debt are feeling even worse than me? I am told I just think too much, and certainly, read too much, and there’s some truth to it. But im wondering if the level of anxiety is ramping up in society and if that in itself could trigger some bad events. a bankrupt state, social unrest, I don’t know. However, on the lighter side, I am going to make a bold and unprecedented prediction; marijuana will be legalized and taxed in CA by 2010 to help balance the budget. it will become a tourist destination and there will be marijuana bars everywhere. you heard it here first. Housing will start to rebound at the same time these marijuana bars take root.
