You might consider a buyers agent.
This is an agent that does not list houses and does nothing but represent buyers. I used one for my first purchase and would do the same again if I needed an agent.
She is no longer a buyers agent – she now acts as a listing and buying agent, but is one of the most professional people I know.
I’m not sure how to find a buyers agent, though. Ask around.
