What is an interesting note is that there was a black cop there as well who has been a staunch defender of Crowley.
So here are some questions to consider.
1 – Would Gates have acted in the same manner towards the black cop as he did towards Crowley? Would he have hurled the same insults particularly about the black cops mom?
2 – If the black cop would have taken the same steps as Crowley and he has indicated he would have, would this be an issue at all? Would this even have been reported in the media?
3 – Most important would our president have poked his nose into this and would he have said the same thing about the black cop that he said about Crowley?
So it seems to me that the question of “acceptable” beligerence seems to depend on race.
Sad commentary.
Also a sad commentary that the lady who reported the breakin is receiving death threats. I guess she should be partially to blame as well.
