Unfortunately, Pardee owns a good chunk of land in CV from very early on. Which is great for them, but sucks for the rest. They can pretty much control the market and development in CV.
Personally, I think Bridle Ridge is in a terrible location..Though a good distance away, the power lines are really an eyesore.
I guess it doesn't help that QC stock is approaching $50/share. I guess this just means more potential buyers with a downpayment (though statistically, probably not significant).
