Rumor is that they have only sold 1 house in the 2 months they have been open. Why buy those models while for an extra 100k you can get a Derby Hill? Pardee is going to have to do something…what it is, is anyone’s guess.

This article was in A1 in the UT today:
http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/business/20080527-9999-1n27builders.html
“Centex, KB Home, K. Hovnanian, William Lyon, Richmond American, Pulte – all have closed local offices, and pretty much every other builder has reduced staff,” said real estate analyst Peter Dennehy.”
No mention of Pardee or Lennar in the article, but they have to be in dire straights.
Pardee had a full page ad on Page A12 announcing Bridle Ridge “From the low 900’s” in todays paper. I can’t see anyone paying this, or Derby Hill at 1.2.

May 27, 2008 at 8:59 PM #212293CoronitaParticipantUnfortunately, Pardee owns a good chunk of land in CV from very early on. Which is great for them, but sucks for the rest. They can pretty much control the market and development in CV.
Personally, I think Bridle Ridge is in a terrible location..Though a good distance away, the power lines are really an eyesore.
I guess it doesn't help that QC stock is approaching $50/share. I guess this just means more potential buyers with a downpayment (though statistically, probably not significant).
