I think it has to do with what stage of life they are in. I know many co-workers in their 20s who lived in and were all about downtown SD or Little Italy or PB.
By then they turned 30, got married, have kids on the way, and they’ve all left for the suburbs: Poway, Penasquitos, RB, 78 corridor. As you say, the garage and yard start speaking to them in a big way.[/quote]
Agree and will add best not to take housing advice from 40 year old single guys who never had kids that are commenting on places they’ve never lived
