Surveyor: Apropos of nothing, the F-106 Delta Dart was designed to fire the “Genie” Air 2A nuke. It was a 1.5Kt yield nuke and was meant to be deployed against Russian strategic bomber formations attacking US targets.
It was an air-to-air nuke. That’s some amazing shit when you think about it.
