SDR: I concur with your observation, and would offer an observation of my own. That is, the more intelligent and open minded posters (IMHO) also tend to be the more considerate in their responses and considered in their logic and reasoning.
Some of the more hyperbolic and vitriolic responses have also been rife with misspellings and grammatical errors. This probably sounds somewhat judgmental, but there it is.
I have had my head handed to me a couple of times here, and by the “pros” (those with the data and the sound arguments), and, because of how professionally it was done, I had no hard feelings. To the contrary, nothing is more enjoyable than a good argument (in the truest definition of the word) with a good opponent.
Some of the more ad hominem attacks are simply over the top, and they really detract from both the spirit of this board and the overall quality of the posters/postings.
Just my $.02.
On a personal note, I have really appreciated your hard work in disseminating some truly valuable information about the local RE scene. I have gained new insights as a result, and it forced me to rethink several of my positions (for the better, I should add). Regards.
