So let’s see… the event has not just randomly come up, it has been planned for quite awhile. Lets see…perhaps it makes sense to allow a rally that supports one of the key items he has pledged to support. One that is supported by millions, actually tens of millions of potential voters. Then there is barricading vets, which of course I don’t believe he cared about one way or another. I agree he had no hand in that.
Like I said, the shutdown is selective. This rally was important to his voters… the vets… not so much.
Kinda taking it both ways there. One sentence he had no hand in it. And the next the vets aren’t important to him. They can’t both be true. I’m guessing the vets thing may have been planned by the attendees, but without any special notice to the park. They had no reason to tell the park they were coming. And even if they did, just like a 4th grade class or a women’s league visiting, they got cancelled, because the park closed down because the republicans in the house wanted it closed down. The rally on the other hand, required permits. The two events were not the same.
Question for you….which is more important to you…the vets being able to visit the park, or the CDC shutting down and not having the resources to respond to a salmonella outbreak? Me? In comparison, I don’t give a shit about vets visiting a park.
