Interesting… I was talking about your scenario with my husband (to confirm I’d represented thing correctly.) He’s an architect so he deals with building services more than most. He said for simple jobs it can be faxed. And he mentioned the new e-permits. He said they used to have “homeowners nights”, also. Which was after work hours (evening) and streamlined simple permits for homeowners doing their own simple jobs. He wasn’t sure if the program had been cut due to budget cuts, though.
