Thus, “scholars”, by definition are FULL-TIME academics, not visiting lecturers or profs who divide their time between teaching and other pursuits, such as a political career. Hence, MY FRIGGIN’ POINT.
Get it now?
Good ol’ Websters makes no mention of FULL TIME in the definition of “scholar” (no mention of “published” either.)
A friend of mine from high school has been in the reserves his whole life. Started out in FA but moved into infantry. He’s a mechanical engineer full time, works at HP. He’s collected a few patches: Airborne, Air Assault, CIB. He just got promoted to full bird. He’s a brigade commander in the Oregon National Guard.
But according to your definition, he’s not a soldier.
Pri: Utter bullshit, along the lines of your putting words in my mouth to the effect that Obama “knew nothing” about constitutional law (which I not only did NOT say, but never even implied).
This is a game, composed of semantics, but completely avoiding the truth or facts.
Also, don’t ever deign to tell me who I think is a soldier. That’s a shitty card to play, and you should know better.
