dbapig: It really isn’t a morality issue the way I see it. It’s kind of like walking across a street on a walk signal and then getting hit by a car that blows through a red light. You may have had the right away, but now your either dead or injured. Morality doesn’t get you much here does it?
IMO, you have to deal with the world the way it is, not the way it should be.
I’m not saying you are an immoral person or anything but I feel that kind of mentality is why this very website exists.
Thoughts in the heads of brokers/bankers who robbed us during the RE bubble

“Who cares what happens to the idiots who sign up for my subprime mortgages OR to the USA economy OR to the GLOBAL economy, as long as I make my $$$!!! I’m doing this to secure THE future of my FAMILY so get out of my way…

The my-family-only ideology (as long as my family is happy/safe I don’t care about what happens to others) is troubling to me… Yes, in a perfect world, everyone driving on the road should drive a 5,500 lbs SUV or a H2 so that we don’t have to worry about SUV versus small car. Oh wait, if the other car hitting my SUV is also an SUV, than it’s a bad thing for my family… So in a perfect world of some SUV drivers, my family would drive in SUV but other families shouldn’t drive in SUVs…
Not trying to be rude but just my thoughts… To be fair I have to disclose that I would put my family in armored car if I could. Any dad would want to. But where does it stop?
IMHO.
