Paramount: I’m Type 2 diabetic and have been on Adkins for years. Every once in a while, I’ll go a little nuts and eat bread or pasta (or sugar!) and I’m actually hungover the next day from the carbs.
If you go to McDonald’s, ask them to prepare your burger “no carb” or “protein style” (like In ‘N Out). Most Mickey D’s will know what you mean and dump the bun accordingly.
In ‘N Out does the Double Double protein style (no bun, wrapped in lettuce) and “animal style” (grilled onions and extra sauce). A couple of those and you could probably hibernate for a couple of weeks following.
